Bio:

I'm a retired teacher, having taught grades K-6 for 24 years. My teaching career included teaching in small and larger districts - Fourche Valley School in Yell County, Dover Public Schools in Pope County, and Rogers Public Schools from which I retired.
I currently work part time for Empowering Writers, a company that provides professional development to teachers in Arkansas, Texas and Georgia.
My spouse, Kennie, and I have lived in Har-Ber since 2008. I love the neighborhood, and feel that in retirement I could be an advocate for both the community and the work of the POA. I am active in my church, and am currently in the process of training to be a Master Naturalist.
While I was an educator, I served for 5 years on the personnel policies committee in my district, and I believe this experience would be valuable to me should I be elected to the board.
Kennie and I enjoy walking the neighborhood and riding our recumbent trikes around the streets of Har-Ber Meadows with our tripawd Yorkie, Roger.

Why are you interested in serving on the POA Board?

My spouse and I have been residents of Har-Ber Meadows since 2008. We love the neighborhood. I'd be interested in serving because I would like to support the residents of Har-Ber Meadows, and become an advocate for the work of the POA and the concerns of the community. Our neighborhood is so unique, and is unlike any place we have ever lived. I feel blessed to be a resident, and would like to serve my community on the board.

Bio:

I’ve been blessed to have been a part of Har-Ber Meadows for 24 years. I built our first home on Norman when we didn’t quite have the money to hire a general contractor to do so. With the gracious heart of Lucy Bugea, she gave me pointers along the way to get that home built. After that home I was able to keep building in the community and was given the opportunity to serve on our ARC in Har-Ber’s early construction phase. I even took care of our streetlights for a period. 😊

I am honored to work for Paschal Air, Plumbing and Electric right here in Springdale. I joined the team as their Electric Manager in 2020 and took a GM role on January 1, 2024. Paschal works diligently to be an active part of our community (NWA) and I want to extend that to my personal life and reengage myself in my community here in Har-Ber Meadows.

My wife and I have helped each other to raise two awesome daughters right here in Har-Ber Meadows. My oldest Mak went on to UCA and has been working in medical sales since graduating college. My youngest Payton, will be attending the U of A this fall and is anxious to get involved in Greek Life. My wife Shelby works in Title and has been with Waco Title for 10 plus years.

My dogs are my kids, and you’ll see us driving around in the Jeep with the top off in the summer. I love hanging out with my wife more than anything. In my free time you will find me working on something around the house, going to the gun range, taking rides with my pups and an evening glass of bourbon.

Why are you interested in serving on the POA Board?

I'm interested in serving on the POA board because I have true love for Har-Ber Meadows. I've been a part of this community for nearly 25 years and feel I can bring value to the board and help get others involved who feel like they have been left out in one way or another.

Bio:

Hi! My name is Abby Horsager and it would be a privilege to volunteer my time and serve on the HarBer Meadows POA board. My husband, Aaron, and I moved here with our balance bike riding 3-year-old, Neil, last summer and have fallen in love with this community. We love the tree lined streets, all the kids playing outside, and the amazing greenspace, lakes & sidewalks. We are grateful that we moved here during the pool season when we began to meet wonderful families that we’re now lucky to call friends in addition to neighbors. We're here to stay and couldn't be happier about it. I'm sure Neil will be biking to Bernice Young and then graduating from HarBer High before we know it. :)

Not only do I feel great pride in our neighborhood and want to ensure it continues to be a vibrant place to live, I also have the skills and attitude needed to be an impactful board member serving this community. I am a Purdue Engineer with nearly a decade of corporate executive experience. I most recently led the Charmin, Bounty and Puffs business for Procter & Gamble before deciding to trade one demanding job or another one – raising kids! I began volunteering at a young age with my family, did a year of Americorps after college, and have continued prioritizing giving back to my community in conjunction with a professional workload, and now with family demands. Some of my experiences include running a 200 person volunteer team for an inner city non-profit, leading a small but dedicated youth group at church, planning & executing outreach events with Society of Women Engineers, managing the budget & leading fundraisers for MOPS, and donating my time as a bike mechanic for Pedal it Forward. I’ve also had the opportunity to participate in multiple mission trips over the years.

Personally, you can often find me on wheels. I ride my gravel bike around the neighborhood, to the grocery store, and doctor’s appointments with our 3 yr old riding nearby or in our bike trailer. I additionally get out on my mountain bike regularly, loving all the great trails NWA has to offer. I’m a private pilot and also enjoy most sports, although I have been putting biking ahead of organized sports at this point in my life. I grew up around horses, but no longer ride or train regularly. If you’re involved with horses I’d enjoy hearing about your fun though! I love being outdoors and am looking forward to doing some family camping this summer.

If I am elected, I promise to dedicate my time and effort to ensure our POA is well managed and our neighborhood continues to be a safe & vibrant place to raise a family, take a walk in beautiful greenspace, go fishing, visit with neighbors at the pool, and walk/bike to local businesses. I have experience managing budgets, am fiscally responsible, and overall have the skills & positive attitude necessary to be an effective board member for our community.

Why are you interested in serving on the POA Board?

I care greatly about HarBer Meadows and want to ensure it continues to be a vibrant place to live for generations to come. We are incredibly lucky to be raising our family here, and I want to pay it forward by investing my time to ensure it is well managed and continues to be a safe & fun place to raise a family, take a walk in beautiful greenspace, go fishing, attend community events, visit with neighbors at the pool, and walk/bike to local businesses. I am ready to dig in and find ways to improve online mailing/alerts, voting systems, and cost effectiveness for the pool and other budget items. I promise to do this in conjunction with our residents while prioritizing the things that make this neighborhood vibrant and community centered. I have the skills & positive attitude needed and am eager to volunteer my time.
